Restricted data disclosure via unauthorized gNOI requests
Published Mar 4, 2025 · Updated Mar 4, 2025
Improper access control in Arista EOS 4.28.0 through 4.33.1 allows remote authenticated users to retrieve restricted data through gNOI. The OpenConfig gNOI server accepts Get RPCs that its authorization policy should reject, exposing data beyond the caller's permitted access. Exposure requires OpenConfig with a gNOI server enabled; the disclosed consequence is read-only data exposure, with no reported integrity or availability impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=4.28.0 <=4.28.12
