Unauthenticated service interruption via GraphQL complexity bypass
Published Dec 11, 2025 · Updated Dec 11, 2025
Denial of service in affected GitLab CE/EE releases allows remote attackers to interrupt service through crafted GraphQL queries. Across versions 11.10 through 18.4.5, 18.5 through 18.5.3, and 18.6 through 18.6.1, the queries evade endpoint complexity limits; the faulty resolver calculation is undisclosed. Unauthenticated network access to a GraphQL endpoint is sufficient, and resource-intensive queries can exhaust server capacity and make the instance unresponsive.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=11.10 <18.4.6
