User-assisted code execution via unsanitized WebSocket arguments
Published Nov 6, 2025 · Updated Nov 6, 2025
Argument injection in IDIS Cloud Manager Viewer 1.6.0.10 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code after a user visits a malicious link. CWGService.exe accepts WebSocket messages on localhost:16140 without origin validation and inserts the serverAddress value into the WCMViewer.exe command line without neutralizing argument delimiters. A malicious page can inject Chromium's --utility-cmd-prefix flag, which WCMViewer.exe passes to CEF to execute a supplied command in the host user's context.
