CVE-2025-1254Network attack vector

Data corruption and crash via rollover race

Published May 8, 2025 · Updated Dec 16, 2025

Out-of-bounds memory access in RTI Connext Professional Recording Service allows authenticated attackers to corrupt data or crash it. A race during size-based file rollover causes Recording Service to read or write outside a memory buffer while processing published data or a malicious database. Affected versions span 6.0.0 through 6.0.1.41, 6.1.0 through 6.1.2.22, 7.0.0 through 7.3.0.6, and 7.4.0 through 7.4.x; exploitation requires size-based rollover and winning the race, while network publication applies only without topic security.
