Stack-based buffer overflow in RTI Connext Professional Core Libraries allows local users to corrupt application data or crash processes. The license-loading path uses an unchecked buffer copy while reading a license file named by RTI_LICENSE_FILE, allowing oversized content to overwrite the stack. Exploitation requires low-privileged filesystem access to place a malicious referenced license file; affected branches are 4.5c before 5.2., 5.3.0 before 5.3., 6.0.0 before 6.0.1.42, 6.1.0 before 6.1.2.23, 7.0.0 before 7.3.0.7, and 7.4.0 before 7.5.0.
