Stored XSS via unvalidated remote HTML import
Published Nov 7, 2025 · Updated Nov 7, 2025
Stored XSS in WP Airbnb Review Slider 4.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through admin settings. The affected setting accepts a URL and imports a remotely hosted HTML file without sufficient validation, allowing its markup to be stored and rendered on site pages. Administrator-level access is required, and exposure is limited to multisite installations or sites with unfiltered_html disabled; a visitor must open an injected page for the script to run.
