Stored XSS via unescaped imported review content
Published Dec 6, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Trustindex Widgets for Google Reviews 13.2.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to run scripts through imported reviews. The review import and rendering path stores Google review text and inserts it into admin and frontend pages without sufficient sanitization or output escaping. The attack requires control of a review on a Google Place connected to the site; the script runs in a visitor's browser when the imported review is viewed.
