Remote application crashes via packet-processing integer overflow
Published Oct 31, 2025 · Updated Oct 31, 2025
Integer overflow in GameMaker runtime before 2024.14.0 allows remote attackers to crash networked games with crafted packets. The packet-processing path used by network_create_server() mishandles malformed or oversized packets, triggering an integer overflow that terminates the application. Exposure requires a project compiled with an affected runtime to use that function as a reachable network server; successful attacks interrupt that game or application only.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
