Unauthenticated admin creation via spoofed Host header
Published Nov 10, 2025 · Updated Nov 10, 2025
Improper access control in Gladinet Triofox before 16.7.10368.56560 allows remote attackers to create administrator accounts. The CanRunCriticalPage function trusts the client-controlled HTTP Host header, treating a spoofed localhost value as proof that the request is local and exposing AdminDatabase.aspx and the account-initialization workflow. Unauthenticated network access is sufficient; the resulting administrator account can configure the antivirus engine to execute uploaded payloads as SYSTEM.
