Out-of-bounds memory access via valid GPU operations
Published Jun 2, 2025 · Updated Jun 2, 2025
Out-of-bounds access in Arm Mali GPU userspace drivers allows local users to access memory via valid GPU operations. The drivers fail to confine otherwise valid GPU processing, including WebGL or WebGPU workloads, to the associated buffer; Arm has not disclosed the exact code locus. A non-privileged process with compatible Mali GPU access is sufficient, and the resulting access exposes or corrupts memory or interrupts GPU-dependent processing.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=r18p0 <=r49p3 changes=[{"at":"r49p4","status":"unaffected"}]
