Username enumeration via distinguishable authentication responses

Observable response discrepancy in OpenText Vertica 10.x through 12.x allows remote attackers to enumerate management console usernames. The management console authentication workflow returns distinguishable responses for valid and invalid usernames, exposing whether an account exists. Unauthenticated network access to the console is sufficient, and identified usernames support subsequent password brute forcing.
