Type confusion in V8 in Google Chrome before 142.0.7444.59 allows remote attackers to read and write arbitrary memory via crafted HTML. V8's inline cache records no prototype-validity cell when a WebAssembly object appears in the prototype chain, so later map changes fail to invalidate an optimized handler. A site registered for the WebAssembly custom-descriptors origin trial can trigger the flaw when a user loads its page; code execution additionally requires a V8 heap-sandbox escape.
