Unauthenticated wishlist renaming via unchecked object keys
Published Nov 19, 2025 · Updated Nov 19, 2025
Authorization bypass in YITH WooCommerce Wishlist 4.10.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to rename another user's wishlist. The REST list controller and AJAX handler accept user-controlled wishlist keys without verifying ownership, allowing a token identifier to be obtained and reused for a rename operation. No authentication is required; exploitation changes wishlist names on network-accessible multi-user stores but does not grant broader account access.
