Unauthenticated superuser access via upgrade file write
Published Oct 28, 2025 · Updated Oct 28, 2025
Path traversal in the upgrade feature of BLU-IC2 and BLU-IC4 1.19.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to gain superuser access. The upgrade path permits supplied file paths to escape the intended directory and overwrite files, although the vendor has not disclosed the endpoint or parameter. Network access without authentication or user interaction is sufficient, and the resulting arbitrary write grants superuser permissions on the controller.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
