Stored script injection via missing nonce validation
Published Nov 4, 2025 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in lmbbox LMB^Box Smileys 3.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject stored scripts via forged requests. The manage_page() function accepts setting changes without valid nonce verification and stores attacker-supplied script content in plugin settings. Exploitation requires a site administrator to interact with the forged request; the stored content then executes in affected WordPress pages.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
