Unauthenticated backup download via exposed log filename
Published Nov 24, 2025 · Updated Nov 24, 2025
Information disclosure in Inisev Backup Migration before 2.0.0 allows remote attackers to download site backups without authentication. In certain server configurations, backup path generation places latest.log beside archives under wp-content/backup-migration/backups, and the public log records the archive filename. Exploitation requires a completed backup and direct web access to both files; the archive can expose site files, database contents, and stored credentials.
