Unauthenticated order-status changes via unchecked AJAX action
Published Dec 5, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Payaza 0.3.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to change WooCommerce order statuses through a public AJAX action. The wp_ajax_nopriv_update_order_status endpoint processes an order-status update without checking the caller's WordPress capabilities. No WordPress account is required; successful requests alter order workflow data without reported access to payment details or site administration.
