CVE-2025-12343

Application crash via redundant queued-task free

Published Feb 18, 2026 · Updated Feb 18, 2026

Double free in FFmpeg 6.1 and later before 8.1 allows local users to crash DNN-processing applications via crafted TensorFlow model data. In dnn_execute_model_tf(), error paths free a queued task that dnn_free_model_tf() later releases again, corrupting heap state. Exploitation requires a TensorFlow-enabled build and an application or user to process attacker-controlled model data; the reported consequence is a crash, not code execution.
