Oracle password reuse via failed post-check-in reset
Published Feb 11, 2025 · Updated Feb 11, 2025
Improper authentication in the PAM module of Devolutions Server 2024.3.10.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to reuse Oracle passwords. The post-check-in password-reset path crashes before rotating the checked-in Oracle credential, leaving the prior password valid. Remote authenticated users must obtain and check in an Oracle account; reuse then preserves access that should have ended.
