Unauthenticated SQL injection via unsanitized category parameter
Published Oct 27, 2025 · Updated Oct 27, 2025
SQL injection in SourceCodester Point of Sales in PHP/PDO 1.0 allows remote attackers to read or modify database data via crafted category data. The category.php handler places the POST category value directly into a MySQL query without validation, escaping, or parameter binding. No login or user interaction is required, and the published time-based blind proof of concept demonstrates database enumeration with sqlmap.
