Authenticated command execution via unsanitized path parameter
Published Feb 12, 2025 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
OS command injection in Olajowon Loggrove allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through a crafted read request. The read.py handler passes the path query parameter into an operating-system command without neutralizing shell metacharacters, so an encoded ampersand appends attacker-chosen commands. A valid login and a configured log-file path are required; successful exploitation runs commands with the service account's privileges.
