Unauthenticated code execution via unchecked sprintf
Published Oct 27, 2025 · Updated Oct 27, 2025
Buffer overflow in Tenda CH22 firmware 1.0.0.1 allows remote attackers to execute code by sending an oversized page parameter. The fromRouteStatic function passes the user-controlled page value to sprintf, which writes it into the fixed 256-byte buffer s without a length check. The management endpoint accepts an unauthenticated POST request; exploitation can crash the web service or corrupt memory for code execution.
