Stored XSS via unsanitized SVG image uploads
Published Oct 27, 2025 · Updated Oct 27, 2025
Stored XSS in LearnHouse through commit 98dfad76aad70711a8113f6c1fdabfccf10509ca allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript. Account-setting preview uploads accept SVG images without sanitizing script tags or event handlers and serve them from accessible URLs. An attacker must upload a crafted SVG, and execution requires another user to view it; the script runs with that viewer's browser-session privileges.
