Unauthenticated code execution via oversized page parameter
Published Oct 27, 2025 · Updated Oct 27, 2025
Buffer overflow in Tenda CH22 Firmware 1.0.0.1 allows remote attackers to execute code via an oversized page parameter in /goform/VirtualSer. The fromVirtualSer function passes the user-controlled value to sprintf, which writes it into a fixed 256-byte buffer without a length check. The endpoint accepts an unauthenticated HTTP POST; exploitation can crash the web server or redirect execution on the router.
