Authenticated file write via WGA.File path traversal
Published Oct 27, 2025 · Updated Oct 27, 2025
Path traversal in OpenWGA 7.11.12 Build 737 allows remote authenticated users to write files outside intended directories through WGA.File. The TMLScript API passes a caller-supplied java.io.File path containing parent-directory segments to WGA.File and writes attacker-controlled content at the resolved location. Admin or Design rights to execute TMLScript are required; code execution as the application-server account follows only when a writable, web-served directory interprets the written file.
