Script execution via unsanitized iframe source
Published Oct 27, 2025 · Updated Oct 27, 2025
DOM-based XSS in Chatwoot 4.0 through 4.7.0 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through a crafted admin-interface link. IframeLoader.vue reads the link value from the URL fragment and binds it directly to an iframe src attribute without scheme or origin validation. An authenticated administrator must open the crafted link; successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled script in the trusted Chatwoot origin.
