Memory corruption via unbounded page formatting
Published Oct 27, 2025 · Updated Oct 27, 2025
Buffer overflow in Tenda CH22 firmware 1.0.0.1 allows attackers on the local network to corrupt memory through a crafted page value. The fromSetIpBind function passes the user-controlled page parameter to sprintf, which writes into a 256-byte buffer without a length check. A public POST-based proof of concept reports no authentication and demonstrates crash reachability, although the published CVSS vectors require low privileges; code execution is described but not demonstrated.
