Authenticated file disclosure via null-byte path traversal
Published Oct 27, 2025 · Updated Feb 24, 2026
Path traversal in givanz Vvveb 1.0.7.0 through 1.0.7.3 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary files through Code Editor. The loadFile action passes its file parameter to sanitizeFileName, whose traversal filtering can be bypassed with null bytes embedded between dots. Administrative access is required, and successful exploitation discloses files readable by the web application process.
