Settings modification via missing nonce validation
Published Nov 4, 2025 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in Posts Navigation Links for Sections and Headings 1.0.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to change settings. The wpm_navigation_links_settings page processes state-changing requests without correctly validating a WordPress nonce, accepting attacker-supplied settings under an administrator's active session. Exploitation requires an unauthenticated attacker to induce a logged-in site administrator to submit the forged request, and the demonstrated consequence is modification of the plugin's settings.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
