Administrator message creation via missing nonce validation
Published Nov 18, 2025 · Updated Nov 18, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in WP Admin Microblog 3.1.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to create administrator-authored messages. The wp-admin-microblog page processes message-creation requests without valid nonce verification, allowing a forged request to inherit the administrator session. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to submit an attacker-crafted request, and the reported consequence is limited to unauthorized message creation.
