Authenticated arbitrary file upload via missing type validation
Published Nov 8, 2025 · Updated Nov 8, 2025
Arbitrary file upload in Smart Auto Upload Images 1.2.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to place files on the server. The auto-image creation path accepts externally referenced content and stores it without validating the downloaded file's type. Contributor-level access is required; execution of an uploaded server-executable file results in code execution under the web server context.
