Protected-document disclosure via omitted DLS enforcement
Published Nov 14, 2025 · Updated Nov 14, 2025
Incorrect authorization in Search Guard FLX 3.1.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read protected documents through Signals watches. The Signals watch search execution path runs queries without applying the DLS rule enforced on ordinary searches. A user permitted to create or update a watch can query an affected index and expose matching documents beyond that user's assigned permissions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
