Authenticated data disclosure via queryable excluded object members
Published Oct 29, 2025 · Updated Oct 29, 2025
Information disclosure in Search Guard FLX 3.1.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read FLS-protected object fields. An FLS exclusion removes an object from _source but leaves its child attributes addressable by search queries. Exploitation requires query access and an exclusion on an object-valued field; exposed child values can reconstruct the excluded object.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
