CVE-2025-12131

Adjacent denial of service via truncated 802.15.4 packet

Published Feb 5, 2026 · Updated Feb 5, 2026

Denial of service in Silicon Labs Simplicity SDK before 2025.12.0 allows attackers to interrupt devices with a truncated 802.15.4 packet. The Ember ZNet SDK 802.15.4 receive path fails to reject the short frame before evaluating an assertion, allowing malformed input to terminate normal processing. Exploitation requires 802.15.4 radio proximity and no authentication or user interaction; the published record reports no data access or modification.
