Administrator stored XSS via unescaped settings output
Published Dec 5, 2025 · Updated Dec 5, 2025
Stored XSS in FitVids for WordPress 4.0.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through admin settings. The settings path stores inadequately sanitized input and renders it without sufficient output escaping; no more specific code locus is published. Administrator privileges are required, and exposure is limited to multisite installations or sites with unfiltered_html disabled; injected scripts execute when a user opens affected content.
