Subscriber-level API key deletion via missing authorization
Published Nov 12, 2025 · Updated Nov 12, 2025
Missing authorization in WebToffee Alt Text Generator AI 1.8.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete the site API key. The atgai_delete_api_key() handler deletes the stored credential without checking whether the caller has the required WordPress capability. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and deletion disconnects the plugin from its API-backed alt-text service until the key is restored.
