Subscriber-level ticket deletion via missing capability check
Published Nov 21, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in ELEX WordPress HelpDesk 3.3.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to empty the ticket trash. The eh_crm_settings_empty_trash AJAX handler performs the destructive operation without first verifying the caller's WordPress capability. Subscriber-level WordPress access is sufficient, and exploitation removes all tickets already placed in trash without granting broader privileges.
