Template configuration modification via missing nonce validation
Published Oct 24, 2025 · Updated Oct 24, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in Disable Content Editor For Specific Template 2.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter template configurations. The template-configuration update path accepts add and delete requests without validating an anti-CSRF nonce before changing stored settings; public sources do not identify the handler or function name. Exploitation requires an administrator with an active WordPress session to open an attacker-controlled link, after which templates can be added to or removed from the disabled-editor configuration.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
