CVE-2025-12029Public exploitNetwork attack vectorHinoki check available

Unauthorized actions via Swagger public-path injection

Published Dec 11, 2025 · Updated Dec 11, 2025

Cross-site scripting in GitLab CE/EE allows remote attackers to execute scripts in a victim's browser through the Swagger UI. The /-/sandbox/swagger endpoint accepts an attacker-controlled relativeRootPath and assigns it as webpack's public path, causing trusted chunks to load from an external domain. Exploitation is unauthenticated but requires a victim to open the crafted URL; the script runs in the GitLab origin and can perform authenticated actions as that victim.
