CVE-2025-11953Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via unvalidated URL scheme

Published Nov 3, 2025 · Updated Nov 3, 2025

OS command injection in @react-native-community/cli-server-api before 20.0.0 allows remote attackers to execute programs via POST requests. The /open-url route's openURLMiddleware passes the request body's URL directly to open() without parsing it or restricting the scheme to HTTP or HTTPS. Exposure requires a running Metro development server reachable over the network; no authentication is required, and Windows permits fully controlled shell arguments.
