CVE-2025-11939Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via unsanitized restore filename

Published Oct 19, 2025 · Updated Oct 19, 2025

Path traversal in ChurchCRM Backup Restore through 5.18.0 allows remote authenticated users to write arbitrary files via restoreFile. RestoreJob concatenates the uploaded filename to its temporary backup directory path and passes that path to move_uploaded_file without sanitizing traversal elements. Administrator backup-restore permission is required; placing Apache configuration and PHP files in the web-accessible backup directory enables commands as the web-server user.
