CVE-2025-11935Network attack vector

Forward-secrecy downgrade via unenforced DHE-only PSK mode

Published Nov 21, 2025 · Updated Dec 8, 2025

Inadequate encryption strength in wolfSSL 3.12.0 through 5.8.3 allows remote attackers to weaken TLS 1.3 PSK session secrecy. The client handshake path in src/tls13.c fails to enforce its onlyDhePskKe flag and accepts a ServerHello that omits key_share. A malicious PSK server must answer a client offering psk_dhe_ke without key_share; the resumed connection then lacks forward secrecy, exposing recorded traffic if the PSK is later compromised.
