Authenticated code execution via broken extension check
Published Oct 17, 2025 · Updated Oct 17, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in Streamax Crocus 1.3.40 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through the FileDir.do endpoint. FileManageController.uploadFile extracts a dot-prefixed suffix from the supplied filename, compares it only with the bare string jsp, and writes every nonmatching upload beneath the web application. Low-privileged network access to the upload action is sufficient; a server-interpreted JSPX file runs with the application's privileges.
