Authenticated command execution via unvalidated parseData
Published Oct 17, 2025 · Updated Oct 17, 2025
Code injection in ChanCMS 3.3.0 through 3.3.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute operating-system commands via parseData. The getArticle handler in app\modules\cms\controller\gather.js evaluates unvalidated parseData content, exposing Node.js process and child_process APIs. A valid backend session is required; successful exploitation runs commands with the ChanCMS server process's privileges.
