Stack-based buffer overflow in Code Projects Police FIR Record Management System 1.0 allows local users to crash the application. The deleterecord function accepts an unbounded filename into a 16-byte stack buffer, so an oversized value overwrites adjacent stack memory. Access to the password-protected record-removal workflow is required; the published proof of concept demonstrates an access-violation crash, while code execution is only claimed.
