Authenticated code execution via thumb deserialization
Published Feb 12, 2025 · Updated Feb 18, 2025
Deserialization in XunRuiCMS 4.6.0 through 4.6.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted thumb parameter. The /Control/Api/Api.php endpoint passes attacker-controlled thumb data into an unsafe deserialization path, but the unavailable proof of concept leaves the exact function undisclosed. Low-privileged access is required; successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied code in the web application context.
