Authenticated script execution via unsanitized camera alias
Published Oct 16, 2025 · Updated Oct 16, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Apeman ID71 EN75.8.53.20 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via a crafted camera alias. The set_alias.cgi handler stores the alias parameter without neutralizing script markup, and get_status.cgi returns it inside a JavaScript variable. HTTP Digest credentials are required to set the value; viewing the affected status or alias interface executes attacker-supplied script in that user's browser.
