Database read and write via unsanitized sensor ID
Published Feb 12, 2025 · Updated Feb 18, 2025
SQL injection in PiHome 2.0's sensor-graph AJAX handler allows remote authenticated users to read or alter database data. The handler splits the Ajax query value at a comma and inserts its second element directly into a sensors-table SELECT without validation or parameterization. A valid application session and an existing sensor record are required; the demonstrated payload delays a database-backed request for 20 seconds.
