Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped toolbar attribute
Published Nov 11, 2025 · Updated Nov 11, 2025
Stored XSS in Five9 Live Chat 1.1.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through the toolbar shortcode attribute. The [five9-chat] shortcode rendering path places the toolbar value into page output without sufficient input sanitization or contextual escaping. Contributor-level access is required to store the payload, which runs when a user opens the affected page and can act in that user's browser context.
