Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode class attribute
Published Oct 22, 2025 · Updated Oct 22, 2025
Stored XSS in the wpfid shortcode in WP-Force Images Download 1.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. The shortcode handler places the attacker-controlled class attribute into page output without sufficient sanitization or escaping. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and the stored script executes in visitors' browsers whenever they open an injected page.
